The Evolution Mini-7 is 1.61kg, Gold, a frame clip, and a cable in the box. The cable isn’t Gold. If that meets the policy, this is the lock you’re most likely to have with you every morning.
The D1000 is Diamond for ordinary bikes and for e-bikes, sold as anti-grinder, 1.93kg, no clip, and a 92 × 155 mm locking area. It can make sense on a known high-theft stand you’ve already measured. If you haven’t measured, don’t guess from a product photo. Fat tyres, cargo frames, and some UK street furniture won’t take it.
Carry is the other split. The Mini-7 is designed to live on the bike. The D1000, on the listing, is 1.93kg in a bag or in your hand. Upgrading to Diamond only helps if you still take the lock with you.
If neither shackle will close, look at the ABUS 540 — 300 mm — rather than a thicker Mini. If you wanted Diamond with a usable locking area and 1.7kg, that’s the Litelok X1.

Gold is what many UK household policies still name. Diamond is the higher grade, tested against a tougher set of tools — it isn’t a promise against a battery grinder. Read the wording you signed.
D1000 or DX1000?

Why not just buy the D1000 if it is Diamond?
Because it has to close, and you’ve got to carry it. If Gold meets the policy and you’ll skip 1.93kg with no clip, the Mini-7 is the lock that protects your bike. If you need Diamond and you’ll still carry it, look at the X1.
Is the Mini-7 cable Gold?
No. Kryptonite says the cable isn’t part of the Sold Secure approval. Use it for a quick-release wheel. Lock the frame with the D-lock.
